Jackie O and JFK

Strong. Poised. Educated. Loyal. Assertive. Classy. Style. Differential. ...Are just a few among many words that could be used to describe the late and beloved Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and President John F. Kennedy. Just like their legacies with fashion, politics, government, foreign affairs, and final moments, so are their family portraits... Striking and indelible! They are remembered today in all forms of communication, such as books, biographies, websites, logs, photographs, journals, and movies and can never be erased from history. Chris and Kim decided to share their love for what the Kennedy's legacy left and do a take on some of their most famous family portraits.... I think they turned out too beautiful for words to truly describe.

Since there are five of us siblings in our family, four girls, and only one boy, when we found out eight months ago, that our big brother and sister-in-law were having a baby girl it was very special to all of us and naturally amusing at the same time! To be honest, we all thought he would catch a break and maybe have a little boy, but definitely found it even more amusing when they were going to be having a little girl!... "Of course it's a she," we thought, "Why wouldn't Nate have a girl? After all, he's been around all of us his entire life?... God was just preparing him for one!"
Chloe being that special little girl, is Nate and Suz's first baby! She is so special to all of us and I will never forget waiting outside of the new Norman Regional Hospital for what felt like hours upon hours waiting for her delivery!... We were all wondering what she was going to look like, smell like, sound like, and feel like for the very first time... When it finally came time for her to join us and she arrived, all of us had our ears tucked as tight to the door and wall as possible, listening closely for her very first coos and cries. When we first heard them, I think we all shushed each other, listened closely, laughed, giggled, talked verbosely, and then repeated the whole sequence over and over as if every noise was her very first one! We couldn't wait for our proud brother, now dad, to bust through the door at any moment, showing off our newest niece for the very first time!
So, when it came time to capture her very first portraits, of course I felt the very same way, and you better believe I was up to the challenge!... After all, none of her other aunts can take her portraits, making me her favorite one day... She just doesn't know it yet! ;)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year: May we celebrate the true meaning of the Christmas Season.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
That son, was Jesus and even though he was not born on Christmas day, we celebrate Christmas in remembrance of his birth.
And this is how it all started.
"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which means, "God with us."
Matthew 1:23
And then He was born.
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6
"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord."
Luke 2:11
And since He was born.
For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Roman 10:13
All we need do is to ask him to forgive us and to invite him to be a part of our lives. He has paid the ultimate sacrifice by dying on the cross so that we might go to heaven and have the gift of eternal life. He offers it to us freely. All He asks us is to do is to believe in Him.
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved."
Acts 16:31
Jesus I know I am a sinner and you are my only hope. I know that it is only through you I can be saved. I know you are God's son and that he sent you to this world to die for my sins on the cross so that I could go to heaven if I believe in you and ask you into my heart.
So, I ask you to come into my life and take over. I surrender myself completely to you. I thank you for dying on the cross for me and I'm sorry and ask you to forgive me of all of my sins. I accept the gift of eternal life you are offering to me and I desire to have a relationship with You. Please, come and live within my heart today. Amen.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9
..."I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14:6
"And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Acts 2:21
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
Hebrews 11:19

Rachelle James Photography
This couple above are some very close friends of ours! Every year we receive the opportunity to photograph their pictures and every year we aim for something different. This year I think we hit the nail on the head! I could not have asked for better outfits, prettier fall colors, a more perfect day, or more gorgeous models! ;) Once more, there are too many to post, so we thought we would just share a few... Andrea, I know you are wanting to see one of your puppies, so I thought I would post this one above with them in it for fun, as a teaser, and make you wait for the PERFECT one!... You will see it soon enough! Some things in life are DEFINITELY worth the wait and I don't want to spoil all the fun! ;)... Love you girl! :)
