My Newest Niece: Chloe Reese Crose 7lbs, 14ozs 20 1/2 inches long

Since there are five of us siblings in our family, four girls, and only one boy, when we found out eight months ago, that our big brother and sister-in-law were having a baby girl it was very special to all of us and naturally amusing at the same time!  To be honest, we all thought he would catch a break and maybe have a little boy, but definitely found it even more amusing when they were going to be having a little girl!...  "Of course it's a she," we thought, "Why wouldn't Nate have a girl?  After all, he's been around all of us his entire life?...  God was just preparing him for one!"

Chloe being that special little girl, is Nate and Suz's first baby!  She is so special to all of us and I will never forget waiting outside of the new Norman Regional Hospital for what felt like hours upon hours waiting for her delivery!...  We were all wondering what she was going to look like, smell like, sound like, and feel like for the very first time...  When it finally came time for her to join us and she arrived, all of us had our ears tucked as tight to the door and wall as possible, listening closely for her very first coos and cries.  When we first heard them, I think we all shushed each other, listened closely, laughed, giggled, talked verbosely, and then repeated the whole sequence over and over as if every noise was her very first one!  We couldn't wait for our proud brother, now dad, to bust through the door at any moment, showing off our newest niece for the very first time!

So, when it came time to capture her very first portraits,  of course I felt the very same way, and you better believe I was up to the challenge!...  After all, none of her other aunts can take her portraits, making me her favorite one day...  She just doesn't know it yet! ;)
