Footprints

Sweet kisses ran through the air as this little angel blew us plenty.  Our time there was filled with many new memories as she entertained us all with wit and charm.  The soft breeze and gentle sun left no harsh marks on any of our time in the pleasant grassy field.  The only marks that were left was on the field, where this little one left her footprints, just like she did in all of our hearts on this special day.

Spins and Giggles

Smiles, grins, cheers, laughters, and giggles filled the air as Morgan twirled and spun around in the open field.  For one second she knew she was a princess, a true princess.  She grinned from ear to ear at her glowing mom as she received an accepting smile in return.  The accepting smile that stood for her acceptance as our honorary subject for the time being.  It was almost as if Morgan knew by a sparkle that glistened in her eye, that at this particular moment, she knew she could have anything she wanted, as we were completely enamored with her little spirit and sweet playfulness!

Our Dear Friends

As she touched up her lip gloss and brushed her long blonde hair once more before it was time for their portraits, Maddox, her third precious baby boy, let out a huge grin and sigh as his eyes were glued on his mom.  It was almost as if he knew they were getting ready for a special occasion.  Just as Keely was ready to go, she lifted Maddox into her arms and walked over to where we were to take their portraits and the fresh, clean, powder scent of a baby was in the air.  It seemed as if with every gusts of wind that past, so did that special scent, reminding us of the miracle that God had created only three months ago.  We laughed and played as if we had all night and caught so much of his personality in his various faces.  He was mesmerized with all of the excitement and didn't know what to think at times, but let out bunches of laughter and giggles that made us smile ear to ear before we were done when his older brother, Bennett, told him not to smile.

Thank you once more my dear friends, Brandon and Keely for allowing us to capture your special memories of your family for years to come.  We love all of you very much and cannot wait to see these boys grow up to become Men of God.

A Kid at the Candy Store: Macey Flowers, Senior 2010

Every time I get done with a session, I am like a little kid who just left the candy store.  I cannot wait to get home and see what all of my little sweets taste like or should I say, "What all of my portraits I just shot look like!"  As I open my first couple of images and let out a squeal of excitement because of the beauty God has allowed me to capture, I am floored in amazement at all of the beautiful images that unfold before me and not because of my own accord.  I love getting to spend precious moments on each clients' images and every time it never fails to amaze me that it still feels like the first time I opened up the first session I shot on my own to see what was in store.  As always, I am ecstatic to memorialize our clients' precious occasions because each session is perfect in its own uniqueness and holds special remembrances.

Field of "Greens"

The smell of the grass, the beating of the hot sun, the waving of the tree leaves, and the sound of the birds chirping as the fly on bye... There is just something special and relaxing about an empty field. Something that takes you away from the fast-paced, high social life that seems to drain every moment of everyday. Something that brings back old memories and transitions you into a state of relaxation.  Something that simply transforms you the moment you step into a field of tall, lush "greens;" it is like you just stepped into another place. A "dream..." A "dream" world where everything stops and you can't help but be reminded of picking flowers and eating freshly cut watermelon in the summer with your grandparents.  A time where nothing was important and all you had to do was have fun, enjoy yourself, and turn around to receive an accepting smile!

Tutus and Tiaras

Slip on the perfect outfit for the occasion, make the final touches on the hair, and decide to be wild and crazy and go barefoot or to place on the perfect set of heels.  Regardless the outfit and occasion, there is nothing more fun than watching a little girl play dress up.  The world is at her finger tips and anything can happen in her imaginary world from the toad becoming a prince to money growing on trees!  But somehow as we little  girls become older, the simple act of playing dress up becomes something in our daily routine of getting ready every day to being moms, daughters, sisters, wives, and co-workers and we sometimes forget that magic sparkle in our day to day activities that was once an occasion... playing dress up.  Today, I wish for all of you little girls out there who have now become grown-up little girls and who's once imaginary world of dress up has become the monotony of everyday life activities, to stop, challenge yourself, and to once more find the that little girl within you whose world and plans were endless and hone the magic within!...  Have a wonderful day today playing dress-up and remember the world is at your fingertips; it is up to you what you can dream!
