Their Little "Firecracker!"

I cannot say it enough...  There is just something special about newborn babies!  I love the way they smell, the way they coo, the way they snuggle, and the way they make all of those silly faces.  But most of all, how they stay with mom and dad when I leave to keep up all night. ;)  I love how I get to love on them and then hand them back on over to mom and dad when we are done. :)  ...  No offense moms, they are just handfuls and I have too much work to do to keep up with them. ;)  ...I like to call it the best of both worlds for me. :)

This beautiful baby girl, Lila Elle Chapman, born on the Fourth of July, was one of the most well-behaved newborns we have ever had.  Now, don't think she didn't have an accident, or two... or three. ;) ....  Just ask her mom, but it's something they all do. ;)  I have SO many favorites that I thought I would share a video instead of just one or two...  I couldn't resist! :)... Enjoy! :)

Just TOO cute to ignore! :)

He wasn't messing around, just like on the day of his birthday, the day of his One-Year Session he did not wait! :)...  The motto of this portrait, "Somethings in life are just too good to ignore and wait for!" and well can turn out okay! ;)

PARTY! PARTY! PARTY!

It is ALWAYS a blast when we receive the special opportunity to photograph a baby every year from when they were born  and even every 3-4 months of their very first year!  These two cute things below are two of those babies we have been blessed to watch grow!

The little guy below has stolen my heart, probably since I was there when he was born! ;)

Both cousins turned one earlier this month!  They both just happened to be born within two weeks of each other!  Of course, we photographed both of them when they arrived and a year later, the same thing!...  After all, it was only fitting!

Plus, since we designed their announcements when they were born, we just HAD to do the same thing for their One Year Birthday!  So here is a sneak peek of the invitations that inspired it all! :)

                                                                The party invitation!

At the actual party!  All of it in action! ;)

They gave wallets out as goodies at the party!... They were super cute and a BIG hit if I say so myself! ;)

The fun pics from the One Year Birthday Session up close that inspired the "wallet goodies!" ;)

Getting after it! ;)  While Lane, his cousin, thought she had enough before at her One Year Birthday Session and didn't care much for her pink cake! ;)  I think she didn't want to get dirty for her party, personally, myself! ;)...   Girls!...  And who said, "Boys will be boys"? :)...  What about the other way around too?

The awesome cake that Johnnie's Bakery made from the invitations! :)...  It was SUPER adorable! :)

One of my favorite things!

One of my FAVORITE things to do is to paint our children's portraits!  I love the timelessness of them and how gorgeous the final products ALWAYS are to look at when they are hanging on our clients' walls!  They are something I truly believe every child can look back on and feel cute, pretty, or handsome (sorry men, didn't want to leave you out) about when they were younger!  Not to mention, how proud the mommas and daddas can feel about their cute babies! :)

This painting below is of Lane Elizabeth or Laney Beth (I call her), a one year old we photographed when she was born...  So, this session was lots of fun to be able to do!...  Of course, we got down and dirty too and I'll share with more of those next week! ;)
